Your exams were finally over. To celebrate, your mom and dad would pay for a holiday in Norway, just for you. You were hoping you could see the Northern Lights, because you had been wanting to see them ever since you were a little kid. You had seen them on television and in books and you googled it over a thousand times. Even in your dreams, the night sky was always filled with beautiful colour.
You had been in Norway for 4 weeks now. Unfortunately, you hadn't had any luck with seeing the Northern Lights so far. Seeing them in your last week would be pretty much near impossible. And now, you had nothing else to do other than sit around and enjoy the beautiful landmass of Norway. You decided it would be time to visit the nearest lake, the Øyungen in Oslo.

When you finally reached the lake, you looked around, adoring the beautiful sight in front of you. While drifting off in space, you heard an emotionless voice asking something
"Frøken, ønsker du å se mer av innsjøen?"
You turned your head towards the source of the voice
"Pardon me?"
"… I asked if you'd like me to show you around the rest of the lake…" He replied
You giggled a little and said "Sure~!". You started walking towards the figure. As you got closer, you noticed he was rather handsome. He had pale blonde hair which covered half of his left eye, a hairpin in the form of the cross from this country's flag and a stubborn curl floating in the air next to him. When you stood in front of him, you couldn't help but to blush a bit when his beautiful purple orbs became fixed upon you
"Please, step in the peddle boat… uhm…"
"____, and you?" You said, smiling a little
"Lukas…" He said
After a while, you both sat in the boat and Lukas started peddling. When you reached out for the cold clean water, Lukas asked "You're not from here are you?" This made you look at him in surprise
"No" You giggled, "How did you know?"
"Just, guessing…" This time he looked away instead of looking at you when he spoke, which made you feel little disappointed, but you didn't know why
"Tell me, do you like it here?" He asked, in a monotone voice
"Oh yes, it's a beautiful country I love it here" You said, ending the sentence with a little smile, causing him to look away again, which made you feel disappointed.

For 3 hours, you and Lukas continued talking about small, silly things like his "annoying" roommates, your countries, things you and he hate and love, all of which were shared in the little peddle boat in which you both sat. Yet, every time he took his mysterious eyes off you while talking to talking you, you felt a little disappointed. Could it be you actually developed a crush for him in such a small time? That would be a little unlikely, considering this was the first time something like this happened to you. After looking around again, you noticed something was missing.
"Lukas?" Your voice trembled a bit
Lukas looked at you in concern
"Where are the peddles?"
For the first time, you actually saw a little emotion on his face. His eyes grew wider as he began to look around. He bit his lip
"I don't know…"
How could he not have noticed earlier? You had been too lost in his eyes to see them disappear yourself. You began to panic a little as Lukas came a little closer to you. He sat next to you, patting your shoulder
"It'll be ok... We only have to wait until the flow brings us back to the shore"
Nodding, you stared at him. You noticed he tried to smile a bit, probably to make you trust what he said

It was near dawn, and it was freezing. But luckily, just like he said, the boat was drifting towards the shore
"Are you cold?" He asked
"N-no.. It's o-okay...."
Actually, you were freezing, and you knew he could see you that you were lying. He smirked a little and gave you his jacket, which made you blush fiercely
"T-thanks..."
"You're still trembling…" He said.
"N-no, it's ok.. Really"
Without warning, he hugged you, causing another shade of red to creep on your cheeks
"Huh?" You looked a little confused at him.
As usual, he answered in a pretty monotone voice, while trying to avoid eye contact "Sorry ... I'm a little cold too"
You smiled a little at his answer and ... hang on, was it just you or did you just see him blushing a little? It was now completely dark, and the boat was slowly drifting towards the shore
"Hey, ____?"
"What?"
"Why did you come to Norway?… You could have gone to a warmer country"
"Well~ I've wanted to see the Northern Lights like, forever. I got this holliday as a surprise from my mom and father ... I thought this was good chance to see them, but so far no luck …"
Lukas looked up
"How do you mean but so far no luck? If you want to see the Northern Lights, then look above you." He said, pointing up
You looked up, and you saw a huge magical wave of green light floating in the night sky. "Wow" was the only thing you could say to describe that beautiful sight you had longed for ever since you were a little kid
"It's pretty isn't it?"
You could only nod and grin. Pleased with your smile, he couldn't help but smile himself
"You know what?"
"What?"
"Maybe it wasn't that bad to lose the peddles and drift here under the Northern Lights"

When the last shade of green faded away, you finally found that the boat was now on the shore. After Lukas finally released you from the endless hug he held you in, you stepped out of the little peddle boat
"Well… Goodbye then" you smiled
You were planning on giving Lukas his jacket back and then head towards the car, but before you had the chance to turn around, Lukas grabbed your wrist and said "I will see you again right?"

Before you noticed what was going on, you felt a pair of warm lips touch yours. Your eyes grew bigger but you gladly accepted them and kissed him back. Unlike Lukas, the kiss was full of emotion. You wished it lasted longer than it did. When Lukas released you from the kiss you giggled
"Sure"
